How to use the Virtual Guitar Woodshed
Play it like a real guitar—click the strings or use your keyboard.
- Select a chord: Pick the root and quality (Major, Minor, 7, Maj7, m7, etc.).
- Change voicing: Use the ◀ ▶ buttons to flip through CAGED positions (Open, E/A/C/D/G shapes).
- Strum / Pick: Click strings or press Q W E R T Y (low→high). Space = down-strum, ↑ Arrow = up-strum.
- Capo: Click a fret number or drag the small black bar to set capo.
- Pickup & sustain: Use the Pickup buttons and Sustain slider to shape tone/length.
- Tunings: Switch between Standard, Drop D, Eb, DADGAD, Open G, Open D.
- Metronome: Start/stop, set BPM, adjust volume, optional 1-bar count-in.
- Looper: Hit Start Recording, play, then Play Loop to repeat.
Tip: Audio starts after your first click/keypress (browser security). If you don’t hear sound, click anywhere inside the guitar area once, then play.

- Q–Y = strings (low→high)
- Space = down-strum
